Know Your Colleagues
Befriending people at college or workplace is never a distraction, rather many researchers believe that having a friend results in the student or employee being seven times more likely to be engaged in the work and increasing productivity levels. Making friends is possible and good for you. Apply these mantras to help the process!
Meeting Point – Find a spot where most of the people gather and chat when free, make the effort and go there around the same time.
Share – Way to a person’s heart is through the stomach! Share the lunch hour together at the cafeteria and your varied experiences for a good, hearty laugh.
Be Optimistic – People avoid those who are always pessimistic, irritated or nagging; avoid it! Be cheerful at all times and talk pleasantly. Compliment your friends and be genuine about it. Don’t indulge in gossip sessions.
Make Plans – Suggest a place where you all could go and eat or spend some time together. Take others ideas into considerations and make sure the outing is pleasant. Get to know each other!
For Introverts –
1.If you feel shy, start being active on the common WhatsApp group and make some friends there.
2.Attend all the group activities and events. It gives you a chance to know people beyond the formal setting.
3.Know that not everyone will be your friend. Conquer the fear of rejection and be sporty!
