School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences organised an International Online Conference on, “Drug Discovery, Development and Lead Optimization,” on 5 and 6 April 2024, to provide latest information to the professionals in Industry, Academia and Regulatory affairs so that their professional knowledge could be continuously elevated to the present scenario.

Dr Montu Patel, President, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi was Chief Guest and Prof. R.K. Khar, Former Dean and HoD Jamia Hamdard, Faculty of Pharmacy, Guest of Honour. Twenty-four renowned, experienced scientists in their respective areas from the United States of America (9), Indonesia (1), Oman (1), Iran (1) and India (12) delivered expert talks which were highly appreciated by one and all. Oral presentations were given by 87 and 79 gave poster presentations. The best three presentations were awarded under oral and poster presentation categories, respectively. Seven hundred and twenty-six delegates were registered in the above International Conference.

Taking into consideration global timing specifically with respect to the United States of America the time schedule for the International Speakers was necessarily modified as per their timing. Hence, the conference was scheduled from 06:00 am to 08:00 pm (IST). The number of invited speakers were also enhanced as per requirement. The above mentioned online international conference was live on BUEST Facebook page and Youtube.
