Industrial Visit to Glenmark,Baddi by SMS

An Industrial Visit was conducted by School of Management Studies,Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and technology, Glenmark,,Baddi on dated 09/02/2024 for MBA 2nd Semester students . Ms. Manpreet  and Ms. Anita accompanied the students.

On 9th feb 2024, our group had the opportunity to visit Glenmark Pharmaceuticals’ facility located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. The visit aimed to provide insights into the pharmaceutical manufacturing process and expose us to real-world industrial practices.
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is a leading global pharmaceutical company with a diverse product portfolio spanning various therapeutic areas such as dermatology, respiratory, oncology, and more. The Baddi facility serves as one of its key manufacturing units, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and adhering to international quality standards.
We were briefed on the various stages of pharmaceutical manufacturing, including raw material procurement, formulation, compounding, and packaging. Witnessing these processes firsthand provided a deeper understanding of the complexities involved. We were impressed by Glenmark’s initiatives towards environmental sustainability, including waste management practices and energy-efficient infrastructure. The company’s efforts to reduce its ecological footprint were evident throughout the facility.
Our visit to Glenmark’s facility in Baddi was both educational and insightful, offering a comprehensive overview of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. We extend our gratitude to the management and staff for their hospitality and for providing us with a memorable learning experience.
