School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Science & Technology (BUEST), organized an industrial visit to Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Kishanpura Baddi (Distt. Solan) on 22nd February 2019. Mr. Arun Parashar and Ms. Saloni Vashishtt accompanied 30 students of B. Pharm 2nd Semester and D. Pharm 4th Semester for the visit. The company management welcomed them warmly and gave an introduction about the foundation and history of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals. Students were given detailed working of packaging section and the importance of it. The students were also given glimpse of production processes of pharmaceuticals. They were acquainted about various safety procedures like gowning and dressing, before entering the production or packaging area. The officers of the industry taught the students about the importance of quality assurance and quality control process of pharmaceutical industry. There was also an interactive session of the students with HR representative Mr. Rahul Singh. In a nutshell, this visit was a source of knowledge and motivation to inspire students to enter the world of Industrial pharmacy.
