On 04/02/2025, a group of 28 students from BBA 1st  Year  visited the Business Standard newspaper office located in Panchkula as part of our industrial exposure program. The visit aimed to provide insights into the functioning of a major publication and the processes involved in newspaper production, journalism, and media management.

Business Standard is one of India’s leading financial newspapers, known for its comprehensive coverage of economic news, financial markets, and corporate affairs. Established in 1975, it has played a crucial role in shaping business journalism in India.

 Interactive Session with Journalists

A significant part of the visit included an interactive session with experienced journalists. They discussed-Content Creation, Digital Transformation: The shift towards digital platforms, including the challenges of competing with online news sources, Ethics in Journalism: The role of ethics in reporting, maintaining credibility, and the impact of fake news.

Students actively engaged in a Q&A session where they asked questions about career opportunities in journalism, the future of print media, and the skills required to succeed in the field.

The visit to Business Standard in Panchkula was an enriching experience that provided valuable insights into the world of journalism and media. It highlighted the complexities of news production and the evolving landscape of the media industry. The discussions with professionals reinforced the significance of ethics and adaptability in the face of changing technologies.
