An Expert Lecture on ‘From Vision to Victory: The Transformative Art of Goal Setting’ was organized by the School of Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, Baddi on 30th April, 2024. Goal setting is a powerful process for contemplating about the ideal future, and for motivating an individual to transform the vision of future into reality.

Dr. Ravi Kumar Mishra, Professor-English, Maharaja Agrasen University, Baddi (H.P.) was invited as Keynote Speaker. Revered Registrar Prof. Dr. Khushmeet Kumar graced the event with his benign presence.

Prof. Mishra enlightened the students about the type of goals: Short Term goals, Long Term goals, Personal Goals and Professional goals. Moreover, he emphasized that the useful way of making goals more powerful is to use the SMART mnemonic. S – Specific (or Significant). M– Measurable (or Meaningful). A– Attainable (or Action-Oriented). R – Relevant (or Rewarding). T – Time-bound (or Trackable). He wrapped up the talk with the thought that Strong goal-setting strategies can make all the difference in an individual’s achievements and are key to finding success in personal and professional life.

The Expert Lecture concluded with a vote of thanks by Associate Dean, School of Sciences Dr. Nidhi Gupta. She congratulated the Organizing Team: Ms. Vaishali Gautam and Mr. Sushil for making this event a success.
