Dr. Nitin Verma, Professor in Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology, Baddi, has been selected for Global Senior Scholar Exchange Programe (GSSEP) by Society of Toxicology, USA.  The award has given to him at SOT Annual Meeting and ToxExpo, Baltimore MD, USA on 11 March 2019. Dr. Verma has spend a month and connected with key scientists at the University of Cincinnati, and at the US EPA Cincinnati Research facility as part of GSSEP. Dr. Verma foresees the GSSEP as providing an opportunity to further mobilize research in India and to assist with his institution’s ability to be more prepared to collaborate with government agencies and regulators for decision making regarding the impacts of risk assessments. Dr. Verma is actively engaged in toxicological research on the effects of pharmaceutical effluents and heavy metals on the environment, human and animal health. Recently he has awarded IUTOX award and visited Greece, Italy and Australia.
