One of the major backbones of international trade for any country is their trade routes and merchant navy governs the most important trade route of any country; that is the sea. It’s a non combatant field; that deals with transportation and shipping cargo and people across countries.  Any person fond of traveling and voyaging  and has completed a degree in mechanical engineering and a  course for merchant navy can join on this job.

The additional icing on the cake is the salary one receives is in the country’s currency one is traveling to. Also the job only requires one to stay on deck for about 6-7 months in one trading cycle and rest can be taken as vacation by the members.

These are basically provided by private trading companies or foreign countries looking to trade in one’s own country. The job’s description involves various departments one can choose to work in depending upon their specializations and personal choices. These include the deck, engine and service departments which further have various branches one can choose work in after their course finishes. For joining each one of the departments, there are a set of examinations that decide the class and category of personnel. These will be further discussed in the article following.
