Alumni of Baddi University of Emerging Sciences & Technology have permanent, unbreakable bonds between them and their alma mater. They are our brand ambassador and have attained laurels par excellence, their accomplishments and contribution to their profession are already well known, not only in India but abroad also.
Alumni Association of BUEST provides a platform for interaction between alumni, present students, faculty of the university and the administration. The contribution of the association to the university is very wide. Alumni Association has contributed in various non-financial means such as career counseling, placements, skill development, expert talks and industrial visits.
Alumni who are entrepreneurs and have their own ventures have been providing active inputs to the students so that the basic information and queries about starting their own business can be clarified. Alumni association also extend support in campus placements, summer and winter trainings. Open end interactions are organized for alumni and students. Since, we are in the hub of industries: Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh Industrial Area (BBNIA), therefore, contribution of alumni becomes very beneficial for the career alignment of university students and their job perspective. Apart from the above mentioned contributions, their significant role is to provide continuous technical inputs to the BUEST for the up-gradation of the current syllabus according to the new trends of the market and to prepare and provide future ready professionals as per need of the industry.
Director Alumni Relations is President of the Alumni Association and is assigned the responsibility to enhance and maintain relationship with our alumni.
Main contribution of the Alumni Association BUEST is as follow:
- Alumni Interaction: Alumni of BUEST give inputs to our aspiring graduates. They are invited as resource person during organization of various events and to deliver specialized lectures. They provide inputs and share their experiences regarding skills, recent technologies and trends in corporate worlds, application of knowledge and corporate working culture.
- Placement & Career Guidance Assistance: Alumni are working in various organizations and are at higher positions in the departments of production, sales, management etc. They keep the faculties, Director Alumni Relations and Director Training & Placement abreast about the available job opportunities. They help, assist and guide the students with respect to the preparation for interviews. They also share their experience with the students and motivate them for their career development in various domains.
- Entrepreneurship Awareness: Some of our alumni have established startups in different sectors. Through their journey as an entrepreneur they learnt various skills & knowledge. They enlighten the students with their success stories and challenges faced by them.
- Alumni Meet: At BUEST, we have the tradition of inviting alumni on Alumni Meet which is held every year during annual function or convocation. In this meet the alumni get chance to recollect their memories, reconnect with the Alma mater and old friends. This has been the best platform for networking and sharing new trends and current happenings in the corporate and industrial world. The in-puts provided by the alumni with respect to the latest advancements related to their profession, are very helpful in making necessary modifications in the related curriculum to make the out-going graduates as future ready professionals. In addition, other general suggestions provided by the old students have also been very valuable in providing homely environment on the campus.
- Promoting Institute Events: Alumni have not only been associating but playing very significant role in the organisation of various events by different Schools of BUEST. Their dedicated participation has always motivated the students and enhanced their confidence and potential related to planning and its execution.
