How Do You Stop Procrastinating?
Procrastination is skilled at making you mess things up. And if you overcome it, it’ll make it a whole lot easier for you to achieve your goals and dreams. So how do you do it; how do you stop procrastinating? Here’s how.
1. Learn to accept that you can’t be perfect. In fact, understand that perfection is overrated and it is totally normal if you don’t excel at things all the time. And these times come, instead of beating yourself up, forgive yourself and move on.
2. Start preparing yourself for things on the night before. Don’t leave it off till later. When you’re prepared for things, there’s no way that you’ll procrastinate.
3. Don’t take up every task you get assigned. Sometimes you need to stop and say no. Decide how important it is for you to do the thing and then determine whether or not you should.
4. There’s always a one particular thing you can do to make your work easier. So figure out what that thing is in your case and do it with every task.
5. If you don’t want to do something, and are entering your procrastination mode, then start it before it progresses any further. Psychology has proved that doing something for as short as 2 minutes will also make you want to do it more.
