Guest Lecture On the topic “Role of Pharmacists in Public Health”
School of Pharmacy and Emerging Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology was organized a Guest Lecture on 19 March 2025 On the topic “Role of Pharmacists in Public Health”. The Speaker of the event was Mr. Anant Naik, An Industrial Expert.
The session was initiated by Honourable Speaker – Mr. Anant Naik with introduction of
Role of Pharmacists in Public Health such as:
Medication Safety – Ensure proper drug use, prevent medication errors, and educate patients.
Disease Prevention – Provide vaccinations, promote hygiene, and encourage healthy lifestyles.
Pharmacovigilance – Monitor and report adverse drug reactions (ADRs) for patient safety.
Patient Counseling – Guide on self-medication risks, chronic disease management, and adherence.
Community Health Support – Participate in health awareness programs and antimicrobial resistance control.
Emergency & Pandemic Response – Assist in managing outbreaks and ensuring medicine availability.
The students of 6th Semester (A+B) of B.Pharmacy and D.Pharmacy students attended this fruitful session and felt acknowledged as it was related to upcoming topics in future studies to them.
