Educational Visit by Agriculture Department to Fish Seed Production farm at Jagatkhana and the Seed Multiplication farm at Majhouli
Exciting day at the School of Agricultural Science! Our students, from first to third year, embarked on a knowledge-filled journey today. Under the guidance of Dr. Deepak Sharma and Mr. Gurwinder Singh Rana, they explored the Fish Seed Production farm at Jagatkhana and the Seed Multiplication farm at Majhouli.
At Jagatkhana, they delved into breeding techniques and feeding schedules for fish, gaining insights into maximizing production in minimal pond space. Special thanks to Dr. Rajender, Senior Officer, for his valuable acknowledgment! Transitioning to Majhouli, students immersed themselves in the world of wheat seeds, learning about various varieties and the intricate process of seed differentiation. A big shoutout to Mr. Varun Thakur for his enlightening session on seed grading machines.
Hands-on experiences like these are invaluable for our budding agriculturists, shaping them into future leaders in sustainable farming!
