Alumni Talk on “Quality Control and Quality Management System”

Department of Chemistry, School of Sciences, Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology organized an Alumni Talk on “Quality Control and Quality Management System” for M.Sc. and B.Sc. Hons. Chemistry students (Final year) on February 6, 2024.
Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Baddi University graced the event and motivated the students for career enhancement. He emphasized upon the importance of learning and focusing on achieving the goals as well as contributing towards personal and nation’s growth & development.
The Speaker, Mr. Anshul Kumar Thakur, Alumni (Batch 2019-21) shared his experiences and insights into quality control in Chemistry. He highlighted the significance of accuracy, compliance with industry standards, product consistency, and safety. Additionally, he delved into the Quality Management System (QMS), providing an overview, defining its purpose, discussing components, and addressing common challenges in its implementation. Mr. Thakur also elaborated on the working environment in the industry, opportunities in Pharma companies, types of drugs, their importance, and various drug testing techniques.
Prof. (Dr.) J.K. Sharma presented a memento to Mr. Anshul Kumar Thakur in the presence of Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Associate Dean-School of Sciences and Ms. Sarvjeet Kaur, Alumni Coordinator. The interactive session lasted for about one hour, featuring a dynamic exchange between the speaker and the students. This included questions and answers, as well as discussions on practical applications and challenges in implementing quality control measures.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Mehakpreet Kaur, student of B.Sc. Chemistry, expressing gratitude for the valuable insights shared during the Alumni Talk.
